Just your favorite fruit with chia seeds, these are the foundation of this recipe. By using the ripest fruit possible, there is no need to add any other product to enrich its flavor. This is a good addition to your meal plans if you are looking to reduce your intake of refined carbohydrates, or if you are looking for a product that doesn’t greatly affect your glycemic index. Using raw fruit combined with the chia seeds makes this natural jam a great source of fiber and much better than many others. How so? This jam will help you improve your digestive tract, will make you feel fuller faster and longer than classic jams, and will avoid spikes in your blood sugar, and all the negative consequences that come with that.

Chia seeds are one of the best plant-based sources of Omega 3, and Omega 6 which help to protect our cardiovascular system, and reduce inflammation in the body. Chia Seeds, combined with vegan protein powder, give this natural jam add benefits with plant-based proteins, making it an excellent option if you’re an athlete or are looking to increase the intake of proteins in your snacks.

Raspberry and Chia Seed Protein Jam

Ingredients

  • 40 g ripe raspberries
  • 3 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp vegan raspberry or strawberry protein powder 

Instructions

  1. Try to select the ripest raspberries possible so that the jam is as sweet as possible without the need to use any other ingredient to sweeten it.

  2. Don't forget to wash your fruit thoroughly before using it. Then blend the furit.

  3. Place 1 tablespoon of chia seeds in a glass jar with a lid, cover with a portion of the liquefied fruit, and mix. Repeat this until you have filled half the jar.

  4. Then add the 2 tablespoons of strawberry or raspberry vegan protein, and mix.

  5. Finish filling the entire jar with the seeds and the remaining fruit blend, and stir again until everything is combined well.

  6. Let the jar sit for at least 40 minutes so that the chia seeds soak wth the liquid from the blended fruit until you're left with a thick texture.

Notes

This jam is 100% natural which means that it should be eaten quickly. Don’t leave it for more than 5 days in the fridge.
