Let’s get this summer started with some delicious chocolate summer recipes. As we talked about in last week’s post, chocolate is for summer too! With a little TLC, we can keep it from melting and getting too soft. That way we can continue to enjoy this delicious treat and all the benefits chocolate gives us, even on a hot summer day at the beach.
The benefits of chocolate in the Summer
- Protects the skin from the sun: The antioxidants contained in cocoa, such as polyphenols, flavonoids and catechins, help to make the skin smoother and more protected.
- Its high magnesium content strengthens the muscles: Something especially interesting for those who intensify their physical activities in summer.
- Enjoy and be happy!Cocoa stimulates the production of serotonin, the happiness hormones. This improves our mood and contributes to our overall well-being. Taking in the good weather and fully enjoying the sun.
- A must-have for the workday: Drinking a couple of ounces of natural cocoa mid-morning boosts performance and productivity, as well as memory.
Chocolate Recipes:
Today I’ve brought you some of the most delicious and simple recipes that you can prepare this summer with these chocolate bars. There are four flavors to choose from: Dark,Milk-chocolate, Ginger and Orange and Raspberries with Cocoa Nibs.
Chocolate Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 150 gr Dark Chocolate
- 1/4 cup activated Cashews ( soakedin water for 3 hours then drained)
- 1/2 cup coconut milk (canned)
- 1/2 cup natural greek yogurt
- 4 Medjool Dates
- 1/2 avocado
- 1/2 tsp salt flakes
- 25 gr roasted chopped hazelnuts
- 5 popsicle molds
- 50 ml coffee (optional)
Instructions

Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie or (double broiler)

Using a blender, blend together all the ingredients except the hazelnuts. Blend until you get a nice creamy texture.

Place the mixture into thepopsicle molds and add on the hazelnuts.

Place in freezer for at least 6hours.
Chocolate Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 banana
- 1/2 bar Milk chocolate
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 300 ml milk
- 2 tbsp Chocolate-flavored Oats
- 1 tbsp Almond Cream
- 1 tbsp Chia Seeds
Instructions

Melt the chocolate together with the coconut oil.

Heat the milk and mix it together with the melted chocolate.

Add in the oats, banana, chia seeds, almond cream and a littlewater.

Blend everything together.

Pour your smoothie into your favorite glass and decorate it with some grated chocolate on top.
Fruit with Chocolate Fondue
Ingredients
- 3-4 strawberries
- 2 oranges
- 1 banana
- 1 bar Dark Chocolate
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- Nuts (optional)
Instructions

Cut up all your fruit and place it in a bowl.

Melt your chocolate together with the coconut oil in amicrowave-safe dish in the microwave for 1 minute and a half, then stir.

Drizzle the melted chocolate over the fruit and sprinkle some nuts on top if you desire.

Stick the bowl in the fridge or freezer to let the chocolate cool and harden.

Once ready, take it out of the fridge and enjoy a nice refreshing treat with just a touch of yummy chocolate!
Homemade Reese’s Chocolate
Ingredients
- 100 gr Dark Chocolate
- 4 tsp Peanut Butter
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- Muffin tin
Topping:
- Salt flakes
- Toasted almonds
- Cacao and Nuts
Instructions

Melt the chocolate and then pour it into the bottom of the muffin tin about half way. Next place the tin in the freezer and let sit for 10minutes.

Remove the tin and place the next layer on top using the peanut butter.

Freeze it again.

Add your last layer of chocolate and any toppings of your choosing.

Lastly, freeze it one more time and then enjoy!
