Christmas Flan

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 250 ml milk
  • 250 ml coconut milk (canned)
  • cinnamon stick
  • lemon peel
  • 1 vanilla pod
  • date paste

Instructions

  1. Heat the milk and coconut milk in a saucepan. Remove from the heat and add the lemon peel, cinnamon stick, and vanilla. Let sit so it can infuse for half an hour.

  2. Beat the eggs and mix the date paste in.

  3. Remove the lemon, vanilla pod, and cinnamon from the milk and mix with the eggs.

  4. Pour the mixture into the molds.

  5. Place the molds in a bowl with hot water until it covers half of the molds.

  6. Place in the oven, which has been preheated. Bake in a bain-marie for 30 minutes.

  7. Remove and let cool.

  8. To remove from the mold, carefully run a knife between the flan and the mold and turn the flan pan over onto a plate.

  9. Crush the toppings and sprinkle over the flan.
