Peanut Butter Milkshake

Estimated reading time: 1 minute(s)

These “made in America” drinks made with milk and ice cream are an especially refreshing treat on a hot summer day. If you’re looking for something sweet, creamy, and cold this is definitely the dessert for you!

As always the recipe I’m bringing you today is only made with the best and healthiest ingredients. That way you can feel comfortable giving it to your kids or treating yourself guilt-free. Zero sugar, zero additives, and zero sweeteners.

Frozen Banana

As I’ve shown in other similar recipes like this Chocolate Ice Cream frozen banana is a great natural sweetener. You just want to make sure it is ripe enough to give you the same thick consistency and sweetness a traditional ice cream would have.

Exceptionally flavored Milkshake

Chocolate, Strawberry, and Vanilla were the classic Milkshake flavors popularized in the 1950s however I couldn’t help myself- I had to make this Peanut Butter Milkshake. It is one of my absolute favorites and I know I’m not the only one out here who loves peanut butter!

To give my milkshake that extra bit of energy, flavor, and a good dose of antioxidants I added in some Chocolate Protein.

Milkshake Toppings

These days I think what’s most striking when we see all the photos of those American Milkshakes is the toppings. Getting the right combination of textures, colors, and consistency is really what makes an irresistible milkshake.

From the start I knew what I wanted: the crunchy touch of some Cranberry and Cardamom Granola, a little smoothness with the help of some pieces of chocolate, and as a finishing touch, a good-sized spoonful of Peanut butter to enhance the flavor of my milkshake.

Instructions

  1. Place all your ingredients in a blender and blend well until everything is smooth and there are no chunks of banana left.

  2. Pour your milkshake into a glass. I recommend using a bigger glass so that you have enough room for your toppings.

  3. Lastly, layer on your desired toppings in any order you’d like and enjoy!
