Yes, we’ve also gotten tired of our mouths watering from seeing posts on instagram of all these delicious kinds of cookies… chocolate, caramel, walnut, you name it! So we’ve decided to make our own healthy version of some hazelnut cookies. The dough is made with your favorite flavored oat flour; we’ve chosen the Vanilla Oat Flour for our cookies today.
You can choose any nut cream you like for the filling. Hazelnut, almonds, peanuts or cashews are all great choices. The most important thing is to choose a nut cream without any added sugars so that the cookies stay healthy. These cookies are very easy to make and you will love the final texture when you break open the cookie and see the rich smooth nut cream filling dripping out.
Hazelnut Cream Filled Cookies
- 100 g butter
- 1 egg
- 150 g Vanilla/Chocolate-flavored Oat flour
- 1 tbsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 4-5 tbsp Hazelnut or Almond Cream
- 1/4 cup of milk
Preheat the oven to 180°;
Mix the butter, egg, and vanilla together in a bowl;
Next add the flour and baking powder and mix until a dough forms;
Take small portions of the dough and roll into a ball slightly flatten leaving a hole in the middlefor the filling, place the nut cream filling into the hole and then roll back into a ball.
Space the balls out on a baking tray (with wax paper for esy cleanup) and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
