Broccoli is great for our muscles and our nervous and digestives systems to function properly. It’s a food rich in vitamins and minerals and high in fiber making it a well-rounded food. This Broccoli Puree is perfect for this time of the year, although it’s also good during the spring and summer however, it’s recommended to eat during the winter.

However, many people might not be aware of all the ways we can include Broccoli in our diets. Many people resort to just having it as a side dish to go along with some meat and maybe other vegetables. The problem with this is that it’s not always very appetizing as many people aren’t huge fans of the taste. That’s why we suggest this unique Broccoli Puree, easy to make; with a surprising texture and taste (even to me)!

Broccoli Puree
Ingredients
- 2 medium heads of Broccoli
- 1 tbsp superfoods
- pinch salt
- pinch Pepper
- 2 tbsp melted Butter
- 1/2 cup Fresh Milk
Instructions

To make your Broccoli Puree, start by boiling some water with a pinch of salt over medium to high heat. When the water starts to boil, place the diced Broccoli in the pot and let boil for about 8 minutes until the Broccoli softens. Drain immediately and then spread it out on a tray for it to cool off and dry.

Meanwhile, heat the milk with the melted butter in a small saucepan.

In a blender or food processor blend the milk mixture with the cooled off broccoli pieces ( you will have to do this in parts depending on the size of your processor/blender)

Pour the Broccoli Puree in a bowl and season with salt.

Once the Broccoli Puree is ready to serve, season with a little salt and pepper then serve.
Notes
This is ideal an ideal Vegetarian side dish to serve with a piece of Chicken, Salmon, or Tofu.
