If there is something I like to make, especially in the summer, it’s smoothies. I think they are one of the best ways to eat your fruit and veggies and there are so many combos to choose from during any given season.
A while ago I made a banana and cacao smoothie, but this time I decided to modify the original and change up some of the ingredients, like by adding in peanut butter. If you don’t already know, I love adding this ingredient in wherever I can. Not only as the side ingredient in sweet dishes but also as the main ingredient like in this recipe for peanut butter ice cream. Also it’s also an innovative addition to salty dishes like grilled chicken with a peanut butter based sweet sauce.
This smoothie is by far one of my favorites. The nutritional benefits are really just a plus! The banana and peanut butter both give us the energy we need to get through the day and cacao is one of the best antioxidants out there. This smoothie combo is a 10/10!
