AVOCADO & PRAWN TARTAR

Estimated reading time: 1 minute(s)

One of the ways to eat something simple and fresh, without having to resort to a salad, is by making a delicious tartar. Tartar is made by mixing up all the ingredients and then placing them in a ramekin or mould, which is what gives it its unique shape and holds it together. It is super easy to make as all you have to do is chop the ingredients into small pieces and marinate them. No need to cook anything! Shrimp or Prawn and avocado tartar has a lot of benefits thanks to the combination of seafood with one of the most well-rounded fruits due to its high content of natural healthy fats.

Ingredients

  • 1 zucchini
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 avocado
  • 200 grams of prawns
  • 1/2 a pomegranate
  • Fresh basil
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Instructions

  1. Peel and cut the avocado into very small pieces; do the same with the zucchini and then cut up the prawns in a similar fashion. The tomato should also be peeled, however, you can leave the skin on the tomato if the variety you chose is somewhat difficult to peel.

  2. Cut the pomegranate in half and remove the seeds from one of the halves.

  3. Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.

  4. Next, place the mixture into a glass. Then take the plate that you want to serve the tartar on and place it on top of the glass then gently flipping it over. This will give the tartar its shape and make the overall presentation more appealing.

  5. For an added touch, drizzle some olive oil over your tartar and then place a few fresh basil leaves on top for that professional finish.
